I started by machining an adapter that would replace the handle (attached using the factory metric screws that are counter bored below the washer) and accept a 3/8-24 studded rod end to attach to the crank (8.5" CL to motor shaft).
I removed the base and used a section of 1/4" plate (again counter bored for the factory screws) with a 7/16 rod end for the upper pivot.
Angle iron and box tube for the rest of the frame and added some ATV mounts I had to hold the rifles in place.
The he motor is an old eBay find, 3 ph 30 rpm max powered by a VFD from a 110v AC outlet.

Cool! Now, boost the inlet with with 50-80psi from an oil less compressor and realy cut your fill time.

Great project, what would we do without Ebay
The variable speed is a great feature.
Good job

It fills the Disco from 1500- 2000 in a minute and the Mrod from 2000-3000 in 2 min 8 seconds.
Don't own an oilless compressor why I made a booster pump for home use, just needed something for the farm.

I was wondering about the pump experiencing heat problems - but at a 17 F degree increase in temperature, it sounds like a winner.
What do you figure the cost of that setup is minus the pump?

I would imagine the water gets blown out with air pressure, and the valves and stuff should work regardless of what way it is standing, a good point though, I would put a moisture remover of some sort on it.
looks like a nice setup for those who have the parts and tools to build it, definitely save some money and time.

Well done. After I finished two years of HVAC/R school back in 85 I went into the Hotel Maintenance field where I learned other skills. I would build stuff like that.

It would be pretty expensive if you bought everything I used brand new (the box tube I used for the upright was left over from a T bucket frame I built 21 years ago,) I just used what I had sitting around but I have an exceptional "pile of junk" as my wife calls it.
It was pretty humid yesterday and I noticed water vapor blowing out when bleeding line pressure off. The desiccant filter and spare o-ring kits should be here next week.
As for the check ball, I guess it works with pressure despite gravity.

All that is required to be an inventor is an imagination and a pile of junk!
