Crosman 102 rebuilt

Just finished this old 102. A friend of mine left it with me a couple of years ago, it looked pretty hopeless. Plugged barrel and the pellet shuttle/cam plate were missing. I found a source for the missing parts. Disassembled and cleaned everything up. Had the old leather seals in it, I went with a new pump cup. Replaced the valve. Replaced barrel with one I had on hand. It seems like every little part had to be tweeked or adjusted to get it working right. Finally done, I didn't do anything with the exterior but clean up the wood a bit. My friend will be surprised, he doesn't know it's fixed yet!

Nice work Terry! How's the accuracy? It looks like it has the "silent" forearm? Another old Crosman lives to shoot another day. Gotta love the 100's.

When I first got it back together, accuracy was pretty lousy. I gave the barrel a good swabbing out with brake cleaner and groups tightened up a bit. It's not as accurate as some of my other old Crosmans but it will put most shots inside 1 1/4" or so at 20 yards. I think the repeating mechanism is rough on the pellets sometimes, resulting in flyers. The gun doesn't shoot quite as hard as my 101. I can't wait to see my bud's expression when I hand it back to him.

Oh, that is nice. That brings back memories from my childhood. My uncle (Mama's brother) loaned me one that I used for about five years. Thanks!

You're making me want to pull my old 101 and Rochester out of the closet. Thanks for sharing.
