Problem solved- Scope windage maxing out.

Edit: Well I'll be a one legged hornswoggler!  On a whim I tried some cheap mounts that came bundled with a scope on a springer I bought a long time ago and it worked. 

I have a gun and have tried two different scopes.  I have to max the windage to right to zero it.  One scope I am able to zero but one the POI is still wide right.  I checked the scope rail and it seems to be straight.  On the gun I was able to zero it shoots one hole at 50 yards and I can plink cans at over 100 yards with no problem.

Can the barrel be adjusted?

Either some Sportsmatch 2 way adjustable mounts .... OR Bend barrel to be in line with mount dove tails.

Have you tried different rings? When that has happened to me, it has usuallly been the result of having bad scope rings and the rest of the time it has been the fault of the scope itself. I can't recall ot ever being the fault of the gun. As where your gun is shooting fine at 50 and 100 yards, I would suspect the allignment of the scope and not a bent barrel. A bent barrel would be causing the windage to change between 50 and 100 yards (if its a severe bend).

What make and model is your gun? It may have a quirk in the design someone here might know about.

Try turning your scoperings around.  It's not uncommon.  Also a lapping of them will help.  You may even try the rear ring with clamp on left, and the front, on the right...and visa-versa.  Don't know what rings you have, but some of them have both "dovetail cut Cleats" on them,,, On the clamping plate... so it is important that you have the correct clamp plate "cut".
If your clamp plate has 2 "Cleats" (for 3/8 & 11mm) they have different angles of cuts on them......flip them over (top to bottom), and look at them if you don't know.

Some rings also have two positions for the claw depending on the size of rail. I have a pair that did this on my Hatsan AT44 I flipped the claw upside down and it centers the ring and with the claw the other way it pushes it off and causes it to max out the scopes windage.

I changed from 2 piece to one piece rings and it still shoots right.  Will try a different set of two piece rings to see if it helps.

Maybe infact, the barrel is leaning.  Dunno...

The rings are the ones that came with a Centerpoint 4-16X44 scope.  I switched them out with a UTG one piece ring.  The gun is a Sumatra.  I don't think it's the barrel because in the past when I had a barrel issue the gun didn't group well.  This gun group very well when shooting with the scope I was able to zero.

If the scope is at either extreme in the vertical axis that will limit the windage adjustment.  Regards, Tom

Do you have a UTG "1pc mount"... or a pair of "1pc rings" ? Very confused...

You'll see that you can "flip" the clamping plate over and use the "cleat" that is on top for the  dovetail.  If you look at it, you'll see that they are different geometry.  Same with your existing rings.  Using the incorrect geometry makes the scope "lean"...one way or the other...depending on which side of the rifle that the locking screws are mounter on.
IIRC the Koreans use the larger 11mm dovetail geometry for their rifles.  HTH some.
