Ok, I've been tracking my New rifle and it consistently delivers 5-6 shots on target. Then gets out of sight in. Which it takes me 6-7 missed shots to realize it's time to check it. Then it takes me 10 shots to walk it back in to zero. So, crunching the numbers: I'll fire a total of 22-23 shots of which 6 are on target and 17 are off. Or trying to get it back to zero. That's 25% of the time it's on target and 75% of the time it's off target??
By knowing this and carefully tracking the number of shots I could save the 6 misses and move to the sight in process. Still, this may get me to a third of the time on and two thirds of the time shooting to get it back on?? For 33% and 66%. Not good numbers for a new gun... OM

On a different issue, I noticed the trigger pull is now harder than it was when I had it adjusted. Upon closer inspection I noted that the rear trigger screw has fallen out. So, the trigger returned to a harder setting. I'll start visit hardware stores to find a matching screw... OM

I've got five Hatsans. Good guns, hard to shoot. But I like the challenge and they all shoot pretty good. I had an Airhawk and a Leverage break like that for no apparent reason and I wonder now if I was using to light a pellet in them and over time that broke them. If you're using a scope maybe it's moving or it's broke and want hold zero. I believe I broke a couple of scopes because of dieseling that would have held up on that particular gun if not for the igniting. Now I try shooting a new gun till it blows most of the oil out before I mount a scope. Oil in the barrel will effect accuracy. I've had guns group well 3 or 4 pellets then go off then pull a few patches thru it and it's back on. Just a few thoughts. Later.

Speaking of scopes, I find the length of pull on my hatsan too long to get a comfortable eye relief with several scopes I have tried. Anyone else have this issue? I'm starting to not really like this new rifle.

MY 155, 100x, 135 and 200x all have the same weaver type mount and they're a little to far forward. I
use a UGT off set mount from PA (part # PY-A-1826, $14.95). Works perfect for me.

It wasn't the same one but I did but a mount that brings the scope back farther. I still find I struggle with the eye relief. This is the only rifle I have that I have this problem with. I really want to like this rifle. It seems to be the most powerful gas piston rifle I have bought.

Not using a scope, just the iron sights it came with. Some posted here to not bother with using a scope until it's broke in. Which takes 5-600 shots. So, I'm going with that. I've taken several black birds out to 35 yards like this. Still, I wonder... OM
