Got my old Crosman 160 today to test it out . Is the 160 the only crosman that cocked on the forward movement of the bolt? Put in a couple of CO2 cartridges and cocked and fired to pierce the cartridges . the gun still holds and fires with strong force. Target shot a little and noticed that the old stock was rather rough on the wood finishing, so I striped the old finish off the stock and sanded it down with 200 grit paper. Used some walnut stain on it and waiting for it to dry to see if it will need another coat. Will put the finish coat on tomorrow.

Stripped and sanded down the stock and restained it, then used some old tru-oil finish on it[ a mistake] it has been 3 days and the stock is still tacky. Does tru-oil finish goo bad with age? I used a wipe on polyurethane finish on a Sheridan stock and it was dry the next day and is a good looking finish.

Not that I have seen... I have some form the 70's put out by G96 thats still OK...
But something must have happened as it should be dry. Unless its just linseed... that stuff takes some time to dry.
