Perhaps you can put your hands and eyes on it? A simple rag wrapped and lightly held over the muzzle will let you fire it with enough backpressure to avoid any damage. Do you know what trigger it is?

I'm not 100% certain yet, but I believe it is most likely the T01 trigger. I am supposed to see in in person today after 4pm

If it is in good condition still a steal at $150 even if it needs a new spring and seal kit

$150 is as high as I would go. The spring & seal kit will cost about $50, so you get a nice OLD classic for about $200 which is good.

Well, she looked really nice overall. The safety does have the little curl at the end so if that is unique to the T01 trigger then that's what it is. The only thing I could find to nit-pick about were a few minor scrapes around the edges of the butstock from being moved around a concrete floored garage for 14 years... nothing a rubber slip-on butt pad wouldn't easily conceal. Otherwise it was amazingly clean for its age! Bluing looks great, no rust. I still have not fired it, but it's in the back seat of my truck

Talked them down another $10 bucks too! I think I scored... hopefully she shoots as nice as she looks.

Nice David, looks like we are pretty close to each other. I was about to get her this pass friday. I told Kelly i would buy for the asking 180 if they drove up to me. I didnt want to waste my time going to them and the gun didnt work. Yea she looked beautiful on the few pics they had up.

Yep, it's official... I scored!!

Finally had a chance to spend some time with the 34 today and I am very pleased with the purchase.

I ran a couple patches through the bore which came out pretty darn clean after the first pass. Put a drop of lube on the barrel pivot and inspected the breach seal which still looks new. Overall it is very nice condition. I'd say 90-95% on the wood and 98% on the metal.

Gave her a good rub down with a treated gunwipe cloth and I was off to the back yard for a test fire session... I ran a few cheapo tinned CPHP's through it and it functions very well! I didn't have time to mess with the chronograph, but she sounds like she's hitting the backstop with plenty of power. Accuracy seems great so far although I did not try for groups on paper yet. With my first shot I hit the smallest steel on my spinner (1.5") freehand from a measured 20 yards, and proceeded to hit 9 out of 10 in a row with the factory open sights

The thought did cross my mind about keeping it and gifting my bro-in-law my lightly used Benjamin 397 instead... is that wrong?

How much do you like your brother in-law ? I would gift the 397 and keep the D34 reason being the 397 is a work horse beater and the D34 is a workhorse keeper if you do not have a decent break barrel springer. For all those who disagree I swapped a Tuned D34 T-01 for a Benji 392 + small $ consideration to a friend here on the forum . I would not have made the trade if I had not also traded an Air Arms S510 .25 for a Beeman RX2 .20 + $$$. If no RX2 the D34 would still live here even though I like the member & friend I traded with

Well u beat me to the punch on that one. Another steal came up on a Diana 34 with a LOT of extras. Now im wishing i didnt pull the trigger and send out the MO for that crosman 400.
