Need help with my Crosman 1701p

I got home from work today, aired up my 1701p to 2800 psi, closed the tank valve and opened the bleed. All of the air bled out. Repeated process with same result. Tried fills of 2000 psi and 1500 psi with the same results.

The gun was used when I received it for Christmas but as far as I know it is stock. I've shot it almost every day since I received it and this is the first problem that I've had a problem with it.

I'm not familiar with working on PCPs. Any suggestions as what I should look for or try next would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the fill nipple is not closing. It may need a new o ring, just cleaned up a bit or replaced if it's badly corroded.

Open the evp file from this link. This will give you an idea how the nipple comes off.

Once you remove item 35c, the fill nipple, from the fill assembly. clean up the inside of the nipple and stem. If the o ring is not damaged, lube it with a little silicone grease or silicone oil. Reassemble.
