ZR mount dilemma (mystery solved!)

As I’m facing a tricky dilemma, I’ll try to build a hypothetic case.
Assumptions:
1) You know spring piston rifles have two recoils in a sequence. The first, backward and a kind of light, when you pull the trigger (as a firearm). The second, forward and much harsher, when the piston reaches the end of its course;
2) You know the rifle’s forward recoil is the main cause for scopes’ damages;
3) You had never seen or heard about this mount;
4) A shooter shows you a 350 Magnum air rifle, a simple scope 4x32 model and the mount, asking for help: - this “ZR” in the mount means “zero recoil”. Looking to this spring, I think this white arrow should point backward, to the shooter, but I’ve heard it should point forward, to the muzzle. I don’t want to ruin my brand new scope. Please, what do you think?
Btw, you don’t have any device to internet searching; even your phone is out of range. So, all information you have to consider is the above.
With the mount on your hands, you notice/feel the “sliding car” that may compress the spring against the mount base when it’s fixed on the rifle.
Thinking about how the scope will be “recoil proof”, your answer would be:
a) Shooter <<< white arrow;
b) White arrow >>> muzzle.
Thank you.
