Anyone know the crazy secret behind taking off the "dang" front globe sight off an hw80? I'm sure the 95 has the same sight also. Cause mine doesn't wAna budge. I mean I know I can just rip it off. But I'm not Gona. Just looking for some tips maybe to get it off. And anyone plug the holes where the rear sight goes? If so with what? And lastly what head size do you guys use that work best with your weihrauch? Or should I just not even bother worring about that?

I took the front sight off my HW50S and installed a muzzle brake from {somewhere}.  I don't recall any drama with either the removal or the installation.  They just happened.

Hm. Just my luck then I guess. No big. What head size pellets do you use? Mine is .22

I did exactly the same as Gringo with my HW50s and had no problem removing the front sight.  {somewhere} also sells plugs for the holes from the rear sight.  You may want to try using a plastic hammer to remove the front sight from the dovetails.  RC

Midway has threaded plugs for the open sight holes. Don't know if they have metric. The plugs look a lot better than the holes and also keeps &^^& out of them. Put them in my Remington 700 and really like them. Lee

Every so often you'll get one that doesn't want to give up it's seat..... Give it a shot of lubricant De' Jur -remove the set screw -place a block of wood behind the site and "gently" tap it off..

Once the screw is loosened you should be able to just tap it off. A quick fix for the holes is to melt a crayon of the appropriate colour and drip it in. To remove just heat and pour out.

Ok now I have no idea what plugs to get. Anyone know?  I'm just worried maybe the wax will get into the reciever maybe. Don't have the hw80 on me so I forget if it's open like that.
