Where can I get an accurate pressure gauge for the Syn Rod? My .177 is off by 200psi & the .22 is off by 300psi.

Is the install easy?  My Prod is also off by 200psi, although I know my pump to be accurate so i can just add 200 to what the gun says...

I'm planning on tearing my prod apart anyways in the next few months in order to get to know airgun internals.  That's the next step for me in this hobby, I think.

9/16th open end wrench and 15/16th 12 point socket  yellow teflon tape -   easy.

clgraham82, what do those gauges cost? caniborrowsomeammo, does it have to be yellow teflon tape? Can I use my white plumbers teflon tape?

Yellow teflon tape is thicker, and rated for 10,000 psi.

Think you have the odds with you.

Are three choices.

1. The rifle gauge is "off", reading 200-300psi lower than the fill gauge.

2. The fill gauge is odd, reading 200-300PSi higher than the rifle gauges.

3. They both are off, and the rear pressure if somewhere in the middle.

I use the gun gauge as a "broad" indication of fill pressure, but mainly for a slow leak detector.   The newer crosman gauges seam to be worse in accuracy, and the divisions are not as straightforward.  I have replaced them with the McMaster-Carr 0-4Kpsi gauges.  Generally, these have been more accurate, but I do have a couple that read 100psi low compared to guppy gauge.
