RWS 34 vs RWS 34P

Aside from one having a plastic stock and one having a wood stock are there any differences between the two models? Is one "better" than the other?
Thanks,
Ron.

A Diana by any other name is still a Diana. What you see is what you get unless you step up to the 34 Premium. Then you get the better stock and metal sights.

I do not think there are any other differences. I got the P model three year ago only because I was young (-er) and thought the black would look "cool"
Of course I can get the stock banged around without worrying about dings and scratches, but my taste has since changed (MATURED), and now I like wooden stocks. So go by what you find esthetically pleasing.

I currently have a 1993 vintage 34 with the wood stock in .177. I really like that rifle. I too have changed my tastes in gun stocks as I've gotten older. I now prefer wood over plastic, although I own centerfire and rimfire hunting guns in both.
The old 34 was given to me as a gift. It has some dings and scratches in the stock, but to me that's just character.
I'll hold out till AG has the wood gun in stock. Should be early next month.
Thanks guys!
Ron.
