Shooting the 21gr Baracuda out of the NP XL

After I'm done with the tune, hopefully next week  since I have tons of Baracuda/Kodiaks I was thinking to start shooting them out of my NP XL, my thinking is the if you can shoot those heavy pellets out of the .25 version of the gun, than it should be allright to shoot the 21gr out of my .22 since the both have the same powerplant, Right ?

Supposibly gas rams cant wear out with heavy pellets...I shoot the cudas in my regular Trail

I havent experienced any FPS drop yet, and I dont think I ever will, but if it happens all it takes is a new ram.

Or a new seal. My XL 1100 averages 715 fps with cuda's with an fpe of 24.03. As a reference, it shoots CPHP's(tin box) at 902fps with an fpe of 25.86, and H&N HP's at 958fpswith an fpe of 25.8. The CPHP's and CPUM's are about the most accurate overall. Score 1 for the blue team with cheaper pellets.

My Trail AW loves the Cudas and the NP should be less prone to damage caused by heavy pellets.  I've put nearly 4 tins of Cudas thru it with no problems so far.

All that is being compressed is gas, and can gas get worn out? I wouldnt think so. Springs are different because they are metal, but the only thing that I would think could wear out an NP is a problem like a very smal mm sized hole in the piston itself

Are the parts for your Trail XL and SS on the way?

i shoot the Gamo TS-22s, 22 GRAIN pellets all the time, they shoot very good in my XL-1100 , with a average of 726 fps.it doesent seem to have affected my guns performance at all, had my gun about 10 months now.

I am whacking pigeons at 60 yards with the cudas in my xl. Very accurate pellet with the xl.

The .25 cal Baracuda/Kodiak shoot HORRIBLE in my gun. It made me really sad..I was having high hopes for the .25 Cuda in my XL725.

Right now I am using the 27gr Ram Point. At 40 yards it's shooting perfectly.

I ain't asking any questions...just going with it..lol ordering a few more tins.

Hey Uncle,did you get your Bushing kit yet?I've been patiently waiting for mine.I've got this kit here and it's too small, so for a stamp I'm sending it back as someone will be able to use it.MY Trail XL is going to be cranky with me if I soon don't get the kit,,or just say the heck with it and slap her back together.
What's killing me is she wasn't accurate before the tear down and I'm hoping the seal being all nicked up was the reason and not a Bad barrel.
