4350 psi, 470cc bottle

Saw this advertised for AirForce rifles...and it is slightly higher pressure than the 250 bar Al tanks of Luxfer.



Assuming a 2-3/8" OD, the hoop stress is only 22 ksi...but I recall the peak stress will be at the center of the base.

Wow, a 300 bar tank with the 18mm x 1.5mm threads (I assume).... It would be nice to see the dimensions and weight.... 6mm thick stainless can't be very light....

I recently saw a thread on facebook about an airforce styled tank that ruptured.

Supposedly severely injuring the shooter, and destroying the Asian clone airforce rifle.

This tank looks a lot like that tank.

Anthony266 had some tests done on this tank. The company that did the testing claims it's not more than a 3k tank.  No specifics on the tests, or whether or not it was tested to destruction.  I have one of these tanks, and started a thread over on the TAG about this tank.  I too had high hopes.  Looks like it's just going to be the bottle for a Mrod bottle conversion when they come out.  I'll not trust it past 3k.  On a lighter note, these tanks are made by the same manufacturer as Dman's (on the TAG) Carbon Fiber 4500 psi 500cc tanks that were made a while ago.  There are more than a few shooters using those tanks w/no worries.  Just something to keep in mind.

Havnt found anything good on any of their products. I steered away from them just cause of all the bad reviews on every forum i found their stuff on.

This same company also makes an FX tank cover/stock clone, which DOES NOT fit on a standard AF tank- I had to bed the clone stock for it to fit tight on a AF tank... If that says anything.  I did not, however, try the stock on their tank before bedding it.  So I'm not sure if it's quality control or if their tank is slightly larger than an AF tank.  I just thought I'd pass that little tidbit along.
