HW45, P1, P11.

Best balance of any pistol I've owned, fits my hand perfect, trigger is crisp. Accuracy is superb.  Smells lots a truck stop when you shoot it.  What!

After researching these guns I found they are prone to diesel far longer than an ordinary spring gun.  It has something to do with the type of piston seal Weirauch uses in them.  They even are supposed to be dry fired to seat the seal.  Well this one is no exception. No matter it is big fun to shoot.

Thanks for the link. Hadn't seen that one but read a couple of others which mentioned the Dry Fire in order to
form the Teflon seal. You're right about the truck stop smell - even after a tin or two of pellets. Fun pistols to shoot.

Yup great shooters once you move past there shear size which is quite large !!

I really find the P1 frame to be very manageable.  Very good balance and it fits just right.  Kinda like a custom fitted Stetson.

How come I don't see any pistols on your list of beautiful guns Sparkey?  You ain't scare of no pistol are you?

I really love my p1.

I originally got it as a .22, but swapped to a .177 barrel. It shoots a little flatter, and no longer diesels. If I put the .22 barrel back in, it will still diesel a little - this is after 2 years about over 1000 pellets.

Mine like meisterkuglen 7gr the best. I can hit a beer can at 25 yards offhand about 8/10 times. It is a wonderful plinker!

I also originally put a millet sp-1 dot sight (2 MOA dot!) on it. After extensive testing, it was no more accurate than open sights - and without the dot it balanced much, much better.

I've been through a couple 1911 grips. One was a rosewood with rubber fingers, but it never sat quite right due to the screws heads not fitting the wood quite right. I ended up going back to the original walnut grips with a rubber insert . These work very very well for me.
