R9 age

Can any of you gentlemen tell me what the age of an R9 is with the numbers - 1624633. This gun is a possible purchase if I can get some pictures or if someone here tells me R9's made that year were like when Harley sold to AMF!!!! Thanks - Lee

I own a serial # 164XXXX Beeman R9 in .20 cal.  I've had nothing but good experiences with my rifle.  It has the added bonus of coming with open sights unlike Beeman R9 offerings from the past 3-4 years where a muzzle brake was added.  Being a bit older than mine, its very likely the one you are thinking about purchasing would have open sights.  I generally use a scope, but its nice to have the iron sights as an option.  I think you don't have any known issues to worry about from a rifle of that vintage.

Thank you one and all. It appears this one is made in 04. This R9 has the Vortex 2 installed. Anyone have any experiences with the Vortex?? I have always installed Maccari's kits in my RWS 48,52, & 54 with never anything but awesome results. Also used Macarri kits in customers RWS's with nothing but stellar reviews, just never felt a need to mess with success. It would be interesting however to compare the two. Says he did the trigger, but I'd tear it down and check it anyways. Never bought a gun that someone else did the trigger. Have a great evening all - Lee

I have an HW 98. Had a Vortek PG2 HO kit in it. Lasted well over 30,000 rounds.
I now have an SHO kit in it. Have around 2,000 down the tube and she is a tack driving beast!!
Stupid accurate, smooth as butter and built like a tank!!

Baaaad to the bone Jess!!!
Took mine for a stroll today and she was a bit off.
Cleaned the barrel and she is back in the 10 ring!!
3 messy groups are 6 shots dirty.
The 2 sweeties are after a quick barrel sprucing!!
6 shots at 30 yards with Air Arms 8.4 off the bench.
I love this rifle!!
