I should have asked here first!!1 ive read of peaople putting the expanding foam in the stocks of there blackhawks to add a bit of weight and to quiet the vibration down, well i just did both of mine and what a mess that stuff is very sticky oozes out gets stuck to your hand, carpet sink etc hopefully squirting it up into the hole in the buttstock it wont get up into the internal parts of the rifled action. I didnt even think of that just figured id try it wow think next time ill order 2 wood stocks instead lol

after it dried, it all came up easily. it made the twang from the hollow stock disappear. going to figure out a way to shorten the stock about an inch but its alot quieter now. I made my mistake by just squirting it in there until it filled up. Next time im going to squirt a small amount let it cure and repeat until its at the appropriate level then trim it off. Lessons learned

Why not use non expanding foam? Haven't tried it myself, but I've seen both kinds at Home Depot.

I use old used pellets or cheap pellets I'm never going to shoot. Fill itup and never hear it rattle.

I used the packing foam that was used to ship pellets in to pack in the grip of the Benjamin Trail pistol I just bought this week. That took care of the "clunk" in the grip.

The cheap $3 expanding foam is OK but need to fill cavities in steps. Also mist with water immediately to quicken cure and helps tamp it down a bit too.

I fill my hollow stocks with cheap clear silicone. Adds enough weight to have the weight of a hardwood stock and balances rifles well as well as quieting them. With that said I don't own the weapon you do.....
