talon/Condor ss .177 Co2 field target?

Im kinda torn here, by the end of august ill have a choice, Air Arms tx200 or maybe a talon/Condor ss in .177
I was reading how many shots Co2 gets, seems interesting, and since ill never hunt, just plink and chop down weeds and such, does a condor ss with 24in barrel have the energy to take out field targets at 50 yards on Co2? Seems Co2 get MANY MANY more shots, and since my budget is tight, i cant go out and grab all the scuba gear needed to support a pcp right away.
.177 is a must, wont try anything else. Plus dicks sporting goods is right in my back yard and their website says $3.99 to fill a 20oz tank.

Use the same FT's for the 12 foot pound class, so they'll fall with a good hit from a 12 foot pound rifle. Hitting them is the trick.
Spend most of co2 time with a 5mm TalonSS, but did try a few other caliber barrels and barrel lengths. 12 foot pounds in .177 is kind of tough for a 12" .177 barrel but I've managed it in warm months. Longer would be better.
It's co2, have no real need for the Condor frame/hammer as the standard Talon will already open the co2 valve farther then you need (they usually run their fastest down around a setting of 2 or 3).
Some have used the standard air tank as a co2 tank with no ill effects, but it's not a tank you'll find commercial co2 fillers want to fill...bascially, if it doesn't screw on like a paintball tank, they aren't equipped to fill it (and if it's not designed for co2, are not willing to fill it). So most use the co2 adaptor (I'm not sure if they'll work on the spin-lock system) and a 9oz or 12oz paintball tank (the 12 ounce is probably closer to the AirForce PCP tank in size by the 9oz is the easiest to find).
Got a problem in cold weather, but by then could either swap back to a detuned AirFroce air tank or plug in a regulated HPA tank into the co2 adaptor.

The Co2 adapter will screw right on a spin loc talon or condor. You can still use the old style tanks with a spin loc gun also.

Didn't know that about spin-lock tanks (have an old version).
Curretlrunning a 5mm barrel at just over 12 foot pounds on a 1200psi HPA tank screwed into the co2 adaptor (with an on/off to make up for the short length of the 13CI HPA tank). Nothing powerful, but +100 shots (very uniform shots) per fill.
If I were to make it easy on myself to get 12 foot pounds in .177, would probably use an 18" Talon barrel.

You can change youre old style talon to the spin loc style if you ever wanted to so you could use the spin loc tanks with gauges.

Good to know.
Pretty much settled on this one being a regulated HPA gun, but if I do get the itch to swap back to a PCP tank, go to spin lock.
