Tanks, Now what do I do?

 Tanks-
This all started with me thinking, (never a good idea, LOL)
I'll pick up a cheap used paintball gun and use the co2 tank on
one of my many 13XX's, after getting that last winter I then-
 Found the FD-PCP
(got one and pump Febuary I think)
Then I got a parking lot stripe painting unit for cheap that had a Metal Tank
DOT-3AL 1800 W574223 M4141 04^09 10#CO2 LUXFER tank on it, valved with,
 B18 U18  CGA-320 EN849  CV   V05
With a WELDIT W-417.LWS reg with a 3000 and 60 psi gauges.
Not what I was looking for but was so cheap I had to grab it.   (DarkSide)
 Then I get a deal on three SCBA back-paks,
Two with
DOT- E 10945-4500 ALT 603   SCI  310 BAR
REE: 113  CC    C/F Bottles
both are 04*06 made on dated with hydro of 01*10
I've found these to 15 year bottles and 5 year testing, local scuba shop didn't know about
ALL bottles made after July 2001 are 5 year testing and all before are 3 year then 5 year after testing.
Then want $15 to fill to 4500, 3 or 4 to fill up to 3000 bottles.
They also didn't have an adaptor for these 4500's
I didn't have the other SCBA 2216 Bottle or the 1800 with me when I was there.
The 2216 is a survivair 921050  Metal Tank
DOT-E-7235 2216 PSI
WK427616  Luxfer Mark 2 BX9M0604
 made in 7 95 maybe
The c/f tanks are Scott angled valve with two sided 4500 psi gauges # 804722-01 and also have
# 80220-02 press reducer assy with another 4500 gauge and # 804370 pressur pak E-Z Flo regulators
And all the rest of the scott do dads on the paks.
 From the SCI site I got that these are-
model 603, 4500psi, 310BAR
Volume Cu In:416, Liter: 6.82, 9.3 lbs
Port= .875-14 UNF-2B.  (7/8" 14 thead I think)
I learned that the Dalmatian company does buy back stuff so maybe I'll get something back for the pile of stuff I don't want or need ,.,.

I do NEED a way to hook up my XS60C to these 4500's after I figure out about filling them.
Maybe the local Fire guys will want some of the pile,.,??  Na-
I never get that lucky,   Or do I?

What do you people think 

Can I use any of the scott valve n regulators stuff or not ?

I'm a relative noob, but since the seniors haven't chimed in yet, here goes:

HPA is potentially dangerous. The fifteen-year tanks you mention are close to the edge, and the used valves and regs may well be a mixed bag. Unless you have the required training or experience it might be best to have someone with the needed certs to test/inspect/mod/install equipment, particularly used equipment.  (dive shop, paintball shop, welding supply company?)

I'm not saying that you're headed in the wrong direction, but there are easier/safer paths available. Check out reply #46 on the following thread: http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=62302.msg598671#msg598671  Given rstern's math, an  inexpensive 62ci/3000psi tank should give your FD PCP thirty or so safe fills with a carry-friendly setup.

If you're adverse to pumping or regular trips to a dive shop for refills, many here have commented on the good economics of setting up a home fill station using a large rented nitrogen tank from a welding shop.

   The 15 year CF tanks still have 11 years of life left, and six months of hydro.       The fill equipment you need can be acquired from Joe B.    The Scott regs are for breathing pressures and probably are not resettable.       the Weldit reg will be great for your wire welder.       The valves can be used as-is with a hose adapter, or Joe can set you up with his slow fill valves.    The 2216 would be OK for the FDPCP, if it passes hydro.      The 1800 is CO2 only, have a dip tube added, and use it to bulk your paintball guns.

The welding supply shop here said it'd be about a buck a day,(also the hydro tester)
when I showed them the 1800 co2 tank, we talked about nitrogen
I'm still working on that but the 3 pack of scba's happened,  {DarkSide}
I have a friend that said his shops nitrogen tank is 3000 psi,
I'm supposed to stop by an see if we can figure out the fittings
they are a hydraulic  repair shop
I hope to get to the point of
Using the C/F bottles at 4500 psi, Air, one at a time
to fill using foster fittings, and get filled by the local dive shop.
I still need to talk to the local firemen and see if maybe they will be willing to learn about PCP pellet guns, I also hope they could use some of this SCBA back pack stuff.
 These tanks at 10 lbs will be easy home or field use
I'll pack the field tank well into something to protect it and maybe keep stuff
safer.
 I've spent the last few months learning about High pressure air and the DOT sheets I've read number into the way to many.
 I would use the Co2 tank for bulk filling,
 if I get my Crosman 113 rebuilt, all airtube n bolt parts are missing
That 2216 tank isn't looking useful sitting next to the C/F ones.

Where to start. Unless I missed something the two 4500 tanks are the only thing usable for PCP refills.
As BBB said you have 10+ years left on them. There are many routes to take for hydro tests. Your local dive shop is normally the most costly. For more reasonable prices check welding gas suppliers (National welders) and fire extinguisher service centers. They normally have their own hydro station cutting out the middle man (dive shop). Last option is your fire house. Check with them as to who they use. Sometimes you can leave your tanks with them and they will send yours when they get some of their own done.

When I had my dive shop I used Global MFG Corp. for HPA parts.

(I tried to post a link but was possibly denied) if you put "gmcscuba" between the standard www and dot com then go to Tank Filling Equipment & Adapters.
I'm not shore if they will sell to individuals, if not have your local dive shop order it for you. Almost every dive shop does biz with this place.

Since you have two tanks you will want to do what is called cascading when you fill. When your first tank goes below usable pressure, use it to fill your gun part of the way then top off with second tank.

Whatever you do, don't use hardware store fittings on HPA. They may work for a while but after enough cycles will fail. You don't want to be there when that happens.

Have you guys used gas boosters?

All the other SCBA stuff has little value. Other then the 4500 psig gauges and a few fittings the rest is not worth messing with.

No your wrong, The place that sells this stuff at their site shows that they Do want to and Do buy some of it back.  I just want to talk to the local fire guys first before I sell any back, I'd rather the locals use what they can, if they want that is.

That about the regulator with the dual view gauge on top the 4500 bottles,
can't I just get an adapter or fill station to use with them as is on bottles??

 After talking to two fire stations and gifting them with donuts,
I've found witch station can and will fill for me, (non breathing bottles)
but they didn't know what type fittings they used, (I asked if "DIN300")
Told me to talk to another station, go by or call, that one is the Experts station they said.?
 So, Now I just need to get what ever I'll need for the
"from bottle to gun,{XS60C FD PCP}"
 I'm open for recomended stuff and vendors

Does your valve look something like this?



That has SCBA fitting, I would assume the FD would be able to fill directly using that, since that's what they use on their tanks. You'd need to hook up something like this (available from airtanksforsale.com) to fill your gun. Attaches to SCBA valve, has gauge, bleeder, and hose.

 and yes the C/F tanks have that valve/gauge set up on them.
(The gauge is double sided, {you can the pressure from either side})

That would be a "DIN300", from what I've learned.
The local dive shop didn't have that but F/S should be standard with it.

If your gun has a pressure gage you don't need the extra gage. I find it handy cause it's easier to see gives me a way to check the gage on my gun.

I just went through buying Scba setup myself. You can get by with the 88.00 fill adapter from Pyramyd Air.

Joe's fill adapter is top quality. Has a much longer hose and a hand tighten fitting to the tank. After lots of research I bought Joe's setup.

That SCBA valve has a CGA fitting, not DIN. Yes, the 2nd gauge measures the gun's pressure and I would recommend using one especially if it's a quality gauge like the ones Joe uses. The small 1" gauges on our guns have a tendency to be inaccurate.

So when using these 4500 tanks n stock gauge/valves with somebodies fill stuff,
The gauge on the tank shows it's pressure and the gauge on the fill unit shows
the guns or what ever,(smaller bottle) pressure.
And your hand is the regulator, you go slowly and shut down when at what you want with out going over.
And let's say I wanted to bench shoot tethered to the tank then I'd need something different for controlling the pressure to the gun.
Am I getting this yet ?

Correct, your getting it.
To shoot tethered, you'll need a regulator between the gun and tank, setting it at the gun's optimal tune pressure.
