HW serial numbers

I recently bought an HW 30 S. I emailed Weihrauch the serial number and asked for the manufacturing date. The reply was" HW 30 S , serial number ----489 was delivered in 2014. " Can I find an actual mfg. date in the serial number ?

Just received note from Hans Weihrauch....Delivered 1998.
It is slow by modern standards (606fps with 8.2 grain WC) but it be a shooter.
