Weird Crosman Idea...

I like the idea of a SIMPLE, quiet, iron sight equipped, self contained carbine that is easily maintained... What I would love to do is combine attributes of both crosman and benjamin pumpers... The ease of maintenance and the huge selection of 22xx parts and upgrades, with a powerful (10-12 fpe) pumper. I say benjamin pumpers because they can be hopped up to 12 fpe and are pretty stout. Basic thought is this:
Discovery or 22xx dia tube (7/8" tube. Benjamin Pumper tube?)
Mrod Trigger
BNM breech, no shroud mount
Lothar Walther barrel .177
Mac1 Gen2 muzzle brake
Stronger billet lever (like mac1's kit)
Not sure of a barrel length because I want the muzzle brake to either be inline with the main tube, or extend just beyond it. Thoughts? Has this already been done? I don't like the 13xx's smaller tube. But looking at my 1322 and the 2250 hipac carbine (with a 2260 trigger) I just put together made me think: "Self contained super carbine". I really would like to make this a reality, any thoughts?

Done right using a disco tube but needs custom parts...
Honestly one of the nicest pumpers I have seen so far...

Then there are a couple he built using a 140 and 2200 tube...

I've read those two links, and have written down a lot of info, but this brings up more questions... How do I go about designing/making a check valve? I saw a burned valve stem in one post, how would I avoid that? I wonder, are all the modifications needed to the back half of the valve, if I'm only after a pump/dump 10-12 fpe carbine? The valve I'm thinking of using is the discovery valve. So many things to think about!!

Another idea: I like the ease of the single stroke pneumatics... I wonder, is there a way to combine the ease of pumping, less strokes, for 12 fpe? Say, a side stroke, like a daystate sportsman Mk2, with the ease of say, a FWB 603 achieving 10-12 fpe with say, 8 strokes? Oh man, I'm venturing into parts unknown way too fast!!

What kind of machinery do you have? that will help narrow down what you will be able to do safely or not.
To get started, you would probably be best off to just get a Benjamin Discovery and start from there if you are using a disco tube and valve (what I've thought about doing...)

I don't have any machinery
Just ideas. Here's a crazy idea I had on the way home from class- What if I just copied the front half of a 392 valve, and make it so that it's able to thread into the back half of a disco valve?? I mean, I'm happy with 10 fpe, so I figure a set up like this would work out okay? Thoughts? I know that I would still have to work out the pump arm stuff and have a adjustable flat-top piston made (I'd really like to make it a side pumper)... but the valve is what's mostly bothering me at this point...
