New to me RWS 34 Pro Compact

I bought a nearly new (250 rounds through her) RWS 34 Pro Compact off the "other" forum classifieds, and received it today. It had been upgraded with a better quality scope mount, and an RWS 44mm IR mildot scope. It did not even lose zero during shipment, and just obliterates my one inch 10 meter target. It hits extra hard. Only thing I did after shooting her was to apply blue loctite to the two set screws that hold the muzzle brake on it, as I did the two screws that hold the action to the stock.  So far, I don't think I could be more pleased with a rifle and this one should compliment my 34 Classic .22 very well.  I'll post up some groups in a few days. Patiently awaiting the loctite to set up before I continue with her!

Yes very nice guns!  Loctite is a must for the brake, I had to put a couple of drops in the holes first then put the screws in and let that set overnight.  Just putting it on the screw itself was not enough on mine.  It's pretty front heavy with that brake but I've gotten used to it now.  Good luck!

The compact is a joy to shoot. RWS 8.3 and H+N 8.64 are the 2 pellets mine likes best. Good luck and enjoy..

Thanks for all the kind words! I swore I wouldn't buy another until I could afford an HW 77 or 97, but the deal I got with this gun was too good to pass up. $185 shipped, with the upgrades AND an unexpected case! Happy in SC!!!
