Custom D-rod is a HAMMER!!

Well i ordered some replacement seals for my Hi-pac kit on my 2240 and noticed a heavy 3000psi hammer spring for $2.50 and altho there were no specs i figured screw it and ordered one...as said even after shaving some valve stem off my Disco boss valve i could only fill to about 2000psi even with a .041 hammer spring..I had a .047 but it is too tightly coiled to allow it to function.. Upon arrival I measured the coil thickness and was pleased to see a .047 thick spring with generous spacing between the coils! so I installed it (also using ice maker tube a t.p.) I left the preload at zero as well as the striker filled to a heavy 3000-3050psi on my Hill gauge and let er rip with Crosman Premier Domes 14.3gr and nearly @$%^ my pants at the crack! crony read 1131 fps holy smokes Batman! needless to say thats overkill but 40+ FPE with a 14.3 is smokin hot.. Air hog straight down hill but with all the adjustability of the Prod components slight tinkering has me begining to curve around 1025-1050 fps so I will be able to tune her down to a reasonable level, but this little custom D-rod is a beast, and light as can be too!
