I know I have joined forces on the dark side, but I have been looking hard at both the Beeman RX-2 and HW90. I must confess that I have been looking harder at the HW90. My wife says I am more Jewish than she is, which is the reason I am considering the HW90. I am of the opinion that the nicer stock means little to me because guns are to be shot and not hidden in a closet or gun safe. I also like the open sights, even though my eyes are so bad I can hardly see the end of the barrel.
Now for caliber, I think a rifle with this much power need to be at least a .22. I think there is just too much power here for a .177, and with all the .25 pellets I am using it surely will put me in the poor house.
Opinions? Pros & Cons welcome.

HW90! Unless you just have to have the stock.... Better to have Weihrauch engraved on there

Another vote for the HW90. The beech stock is not as heavy, and of course open sights are nice to have on a gun known for wrecking scopes.
Edit- also a vote for .22. As far as I know, the gun is capable of as much power in .25 as it is in .22 with the ram fully charged, but as you decrease the pressure the .22 edges it out in efficiency. So if you want the best combo of power and decreased hold sensitivity, .22 is probably your best bet. I also saw a review on it by paul capello, and he claimed it is very pellet fussy in .25. But that could vary from one to the next...

HW90, this is a very versatile airgun. You can play with the pressure of the gasram and switch barrels (and therefore calibres) easily too....
For your descision on the calibre, have a look at this link
http://www.straightshooters.com/ourtake/ourtakehw90.html
I have shot with all 3 calibres, even the .177 shoots very nice on a little lowered gasram pressure.
