Wouldn't you just know it... I was able to get one tin of Benjamin .20 cal. cylindrical pellets from walmart before they went out of stock. I only bought one tin because I didn't know if the gun was going to be picky. What do you guys feed your Sheridan and where to you get them?

Keep an eye on their online site, because they offer those again. when they have them. JSB Exacts are good too.

I don't find my '76 Blue Streak to be very pellet picky. In fact, I haven't found most MSP airguns to be picky. I think I would give the edge to CP Dome followed by Benjamin cylindrical. I have a tin of JSB Exact but haven't tried them in it yet. I get most pellets from Pyramyd Air but will buy from Walmart or Amazon if the deal is very good. No one ships pellets as well as PA. Ordering from anyone else is rolling the dice.

  Get yourself some JSB's. They shoot better in my Sheridan than the Benjamin pellets, probably are the best you will find.  Four for the price of three at Pyramyd.

Yesssss !!! FedEx says there are 2500 JSB .20 on my porch. Miss Sherri is going to eat well when I get home from work..... not that I let her go hungry ever. Probly only got 100 of the first 500 I bought left. Beleive it or not, when Betty Lou and I go out to shoot, her first gun of choice is her .177 FD-PCP. Mine is the 1969 .20 Sheridan Blue Streak with open sights. I'm having an affair with this gun. It's ok.... Betty Lou knows about it. Don't tell nobody but, she even watches.

  I know everyone claims 8 pumps max, but I've been pumping my 10 so long I was surprised to hear 8 pumps. Back when I was a kid I figured out that if it dumped all the air in one shot it had more power and 10 seemed to be good.

The JSB Diabolos work great. I usually only pump mine 5 or 6 times for plinking and 8 or 10 to take down a critter. Mine is very strong and 10 pumps is a workout.

My '76 Blue Streak gets 620 fps with 8 pumps using CP Dome and 645 fps with 10 pumps. Like Bill just said, 10 pumps is a workout for any extended shooting. It dumps all the air but long term wear on the pump linkage has got to be greater at 10 pumps. I keep it to 8 and under.

If you want a workout get your Streak sterioded from Mac1 and go for 14

Is it that he can't steroid the older ones or do I have that backwards?
Mine is an original one owner in very good shape, I don't think I want to modify it at all.

Ran a few over the chrony. Took the gun straight off the wall and these are the first 6 shots. The string is ;
4 pumps
5 pumps
6 pumps
7 pumps
8 pumps
10 pumps
respectively
Not sure why it went up and down between 4 and 7 pumps. I normally shoot it at 5 pumps, 8 if I'm going for a pest. I will run some more strings later to see if the gun was just cold or maybe needs a drop of oil. It's raining off and on now so it will have to wait.
10 pumps produced over 23 fpe with a 13.73 gr JSB domed.... ummmm... I'm impressed. This is an unmodified original 1969 Sheridan that has never even been resealed. I got it from the original purchaser.

My FD-PCP produces 22 fpe with 14.3 gr .22 cal.

Again, I'm impressed.
