Norica Dragon .22?

Anyone familiar with Norica air rifles? I understand they are made in Spain. Amazon and Wally World have the Dragon model in .22 for around $75.00. I'm sure they are springers.

Norica Dragon, Atlantic, Spider all have same break-barrel action, but different stocks. All of mine that are coil spring powered have decent open sights. Most also have significant barrel DROOP so scope mounting requires a droop compensation mount. There are also more Dragon (GRS) versions with gas springs, barrel-shrouds/suppressors, and no open sights. Barrel droop present on some of these also. I got all my versions of this rifle on sale/clearance for less than $60.
BE AWARE that all these LOW END Noricas use the DIRECT SEAR single stage trigger which is really heavy as received. They will usually smooth out with use (or careful polishing), but significantly reducing the trigger force is nearly impossible. These triggers can easily be made UNSAFE or BROKEN if you attempt to modify their geometry beyond a light polishing.
After several hundred pellets, I got used to the FIRM trigger. It has a predictable release point and I am able to get accurate dime groupings at 30'. I'm keeping mine as good hunting rifles (for me). If you MUST have a trigger under 6 lbs, I suggest you stay away from the Dragon, Atlantic, Spider line-up. Next models UP (Black Eagle, etc,) have much better "adjustable" triggers.

Dragon trigger is poor. Black Eagle has a good trigger. TF89 is a clone of this rifle.
Amazon is out of .22's and has .117's for $91.91.

Walther 1000 is also a clone of the better rifle. Although my Norica Storm is a nice shooting rifle my Walther 1000 is a bit better.

Caved and ordered the Black Eagle from Amazon, had a Storm in the past and regretted selling it on. resistance if futile

I've been waiting for the price of the Marvic and Storm to come down some. I'm pretty sure they are the same gun as the Black Eagle just different stocks.

Can't find the original source, but I've been using this as a quick reference for older Norica break barrels.

Noricas website has detailed info on their products incl parts schematics. iirc I bought my Storm from Amazon for less than $100 but that was years ago, don't recall ever seeing any of the Marvics that cheap. The new Storm Elite looks slick

I picked up a beautiful Beeman GS1000 awhile back. It was a NOS Spanish Norica with the NATS trigger, muzzle brake, deep bluing and figured, polished beech. No regrets at all, shoots great with looks to match. I believe the GS1000 was the original Marvic Gold if I recall correctly. I'm thinking the NATS trigger is aka the RS2 trigger if it's fitted to a Beeman chinese clone of the Norica, aka TF89.. etc. A fairly dandy two stage approaching, if not equal to the TO5 after a little tweaking and adjustment.
