 But I saw this on CL, and figured I'd toss it up for anyone interested.
 I realize that 99% of the guys here who need one will build their own, but AG related equipment is fairly rare to find, so just thought I'd share it here.

I made mine for less than 25$, and i am not a handy person.  seems expensive for the one or two times a person would use it

  I already had a Black and Decker workmate ,just added a 48" bar clamp a couple velcro straps and  voile  instant spring compressor and it works quite well

Made mine with some lumber I had laying around and some things I had to buy at Home Depot ...... total cost came to around $40 and it works great

I had $200 wrapped up in the first one I built, including tools, and it was overbuilt by a large margin for it's intended purpose.  Now I just use a regular bar clamp and it works great.  I think i paid $20 second time around.

That's real pretty, but you could buy a nice Diana, lube tune kit, good scope & rings, and then build a $20.00 compressor for about the same price as this piece of pretty wood.   Just saying.

You are absolutely right; it looks great.     I'm happy to report however, that most American men can examine a task, and determine that a simple home-built tool will do the job.   One short piece of 2x8, couple of short 2x4s, a yard sale C-Clamp, a few screws, and very-very basic tools.    You-tube and forms like GTA help too, but really: 300+ bucks for that?   Seriously?     If anyone needs photos of a simple spring compressor, please shoot me a note.  I'd be more than happy to send you photos of my very basic, scrap wood & C-Clamp compressor for Diana/RWS rifles.    Cheers.

 I'm sure many members would benefit from it. include materials used, dimensions, etc.
