Depends on who you talk when ordering from Crosman

I have ordered a lot of parts over the last couple of years from Crosman and have been happy with the service.  But today I wanted to place an order for a 2400-102 18" barrel along with other parts. I was told this was a custom shop item and I couldn't order it. The rule is if you have a custom shop gun (which I have) you can order one barrel of the other caliber I was told. I have ordered 18" barrels in both calibers in the past without a problem, but not today. On eBay there are 18" Crosman barrels in both calibers for sale for $42.88. Crosman sells them for $15.44 and $4.00 shipping. I wonder who this eBay merchant talks to?

I agree.  I placed an order about a month ago and tried to order the 18" barrel 2400-102 but could not because it was a custom order and was told I needed to have ordered a custom gun in order to buy custom gun parts.   

I placed an order last week for some additional parts and a 24" barrel.  I asked again if I could order the 18" barrel 2400-102 and I was told it was a custom barrel but if they didn't have any allocated for custom orders they would ship one otherwise I could pay for it and one would be shipped when available.  One was available and the order went through which I received yesterday.   

Not sure if it was the same person or not, however, prior to my most recent order I did complain a little via phone and email about my original order and the fact that you can order every other length barrel except the 18".

All is good now.
