Daisy 880 Pellets.

Thus far every pellet I have tried in my new Daisy 880 shoots good tight groups with the exception of the Gamo hunter and Crosman Premier Pointed.   Sorry though I am not in the habit of taking pictures, so none to post.

Here is a quick list of pellets tried and group sizes (center to center) at 15 yards (averaged from multiple sessions):

• Gamo Hunter - 0.8 inches
• Gamo Master Point  -  0.3 inches
• Daisy Pointed  -  0.2 inches
• Daisy Flat Nose (wadcutters)  -  0.2 inches
• Winchester Pointed  -  0.2 inches
• Winchester Round nose  -  0.2 inches
• Crosman Premier pointed  -  1.3 inches (yuck).
• Crosman Hunting Pointed  -  0.2 inches
• Crosman Premier Domed  -  0.3 inches
• Crosman Premier HP  -  0.4 inches.

I would be interested to hear what others find for good accurate pellets in the Daisy 880.   Also pellets in the Daisy 901 and Winchester 77x as they are all the same gun.

I was shooting my buddy's 880 last spring and it shot RWS Superdomes the best, followed by Crosman Pointed Field Hunting.

Interesting.  I have not tried the RWS Superdomes yet as none of my other guns like them.   I will have to give them a try.

Though on the Crosman Field Hunting Pointed, you have to love the price, and they are quite accurate.

Oh yeah, I love the Crosman pointed pellets. 3$ at walmart for 250 and they're actually good! But anyway, with the Superdomes out of my friend's stock gun I was putting them in a ragged hole at 10 yards. I wasn't really doing that with anything else.

I must stand corrected.  It seems that my previous results with the Gamo hunters was an anomaly .

I shot 5 groups of 15 shots each today in my Daisy 880 with the Gamo Hunter pellets and got a 5 groups under 0.2 inches center to center.

I also shot 5 groups of 15 shots each out of my Crosman 66 with the Gamo Hunter pellets today just to see, and I got similar results.

Man, you have got those pumpers shooting good! That same friend earlier mentioned has a 66 also and it is not accurate at all. But his 66's original owner didn't really take care of it.
