Very, very cool! My .22 57 stock is the same shade of varnish. The .177 is blue.
I'm one of those old guys still can't tex, tweet or post pics and once I work on them and shoot'em awhile they're hard to part with. The barrels are thread locked on both of them anyway.I'm in Cheshire, Ct. now for my brother's funeral. Got here last Thursday, he died Saturday and we're burying him this Thursday. I'll be back in Savannah Saturday. He fought lukemia for a year. I was up here for five weeks in Nov./Dec. to be a stem cell donor. He never got well enough for the transplant. We need to find a stock and get the rest of the parts from @=S+S%^$# and build a 57 for you. That's how I got the .22 after I thread locked the .177 barrel. He had stocks then and I bought all the parts, sans, barrel for $105 (it's a hobby). Now, all the parts w/ barrel, no stock are about $130. It's easy. He's only got .22 barrels now. The ad says you need a tool to remove e-clips. I found a trick so you don't have to remove anything.
shoots great! It was shooting 5 in a little 1/4 cloverleaf @10M with the 3x9x40 Centerpoint that comes on NP22's.Every time. One night I was showing off for G-kids and nailing aspirin 4 outta 5 at 10M.Decided anything that shot that well deserved a better scope,so I borrowed the Leapers 4x16x40 from my Benji, which is having lockup issues. The ridiculously large scope somehow still fits in case (barely),and sure solves eye relief issue, lol. havent got it back to where it was, yet, but I think it's because I accidently bought 8.2g Miesters rather than the 7.0g's it loves. An $80 AG that only likes expensive pellets.I'm lucky that way.
