Crosman .177 barrels

Are there any of the .177 barrels made by Crosman that are "less bad" than the others. I am new M-Rod owner, and am finding out the barrel quality is less than stelar, in recent years. This is for a 760 build. Cost is not a huge issue. I have a lathe, so it does not need to "fall" in.

Does "cost is not an issue" translate to "money is no object"? If you purchase some of the guns the Crosman Custom Shop has to offer, a Lothar Walther barrel is an option. You may not be able to order it unless you have purchased a gun from the Custom Shop in the first place. Of course you could purchase a gun and a spare barrel, then sell the gun. I have no idea what would be involved adapting that barrel to your gun. It was just a thought for a possible move up in quality. I think the barrel itself was about $58 if I'm not too far off.

If it's for a recent 760 just use the M4-177 or MK-177 barrels, they are rifled drop ins. Order a new bbl support at the same time. For the earlier 760, the Disco barrel gets modded.

I think the .177 Daisy 853 choked Lothar Walther barrel is about $60 plus shipping...

How long is the Daisy barrel? If memory serves me, it is probably a 77-78 production gun. It does not have a wood stock, but I would have used it in my high school years. I would like to keep the build under $200, but I am not limited to a $15 barrel either. I was thinking Disco or M-Rod barrel, but there has been so much negative stories and photos of them, they make me nervous. The Daisy barrel sounds interesting. Thanks guys.

I think it is about 20.5, I measured mine but did not write it down. I was thinking of using it for a 2100...
If you go to Daisy's web site they will email you a price list/evp. oops never mind I posted it in this thread.

I have ordered three Crosman barrels a 14.5" .22, a 24" .22 (Disco) and a 24" .177(Disco) they are all accuate but the .177 barrel did have
some very light chatter marking through its length that has almost polished out after a few hundred rounds.

You could also try posting in the classified section of this forum. Maybe someone has one they don't want or need anymore.
