Yeah I spoke to soon.  I switched back to the Hawke scope I prefer and it shoots too low with the scope maxed out for height.  I will check the band.  I am at a loss.

Tightening the band got rid of the barrel wiggle.  It also helped a very little with POI.  I had to shim the rear scope ring to get the scope right.  It irritates me that I had to do this but at least it is working now.

  Glad to hear you made progress. They take some tinkering. I'm still dialing a .177 Srod and have no clue as to what I'm doing

I got a chance to play with it some more.  I put the front sight base back on and it seemed to fix the problem.  I guess it supports the barrel.  The barrel is rock solid at the breech it just wiggles a little at the end if you push on it.

I was about to post about this. The barrel is definitely supported by the "muzzle break" (hence the reason why it sits so close to the fill cap). As the pellet travels through the barrel, I would imagine that it could lift or drop it. Had they made the barrel thicker, heavier, and clamped it down in a more-secure fashion, that wouldn't be an issue.
