I saw that a few weeks ago, I just built a rubber mulch trap last weekend...cost $12. It works great and went together in minutes. I had a leftover large priority mail box from the Post Office (20w"x14"h x 10"d) added a few cardboard baffles to keep the mulch from settling and bought 2 bags of rubber playground mulch from the big orange box. The internal volume of the box is 1.6 cubic ft and each bag of mulch said it contained .86 cubic ft. It's like they were meant to make traps....I can hang two 8.5x11 targets side by side on the face with a comfortable margin all around.
I've only shot about 60 pellets into it so far,but there is no sign of anything trying to pokeout the back and it's quieter than the 1077 I was shooting. I had thought about a duct seal trap, but it was going to cost more and my garage is only in the low 40s so I was a little concerned about it hardening up and bouncing pellets back at me.
All in all, I'm really happy with it.

I have a 2' x 2' x 8" thick wood box full of rubber mulch that I use as a rimfire and center fire bullet trap. I still have a dirt berm behind it just in case but is nice to have all the lead collected in a box. I have fired hundreds of rounds of .22, 9mm and 45acp into it. I've cleaned out the lead a few times and the bullets never go more than 4 inches in. To separate the lead from the mulch I dump it all in a container full of water. The lead sinks and I skim off the mulch and repack the box.
