Newbies...tighten those screws

...and check them frequently. I didn't and my Diana 34 scope mount sheared off the proximal scope mount stop screw!!! Bummer!!!

What's the proximal scope mount stop screw?

  The big screw head on the RWS Diana 34 11mm dovetail rail is not a scope stop. Actually the screw is very small and I believe it was to be used with an iron sight.

Proxomal would be next to or nearest the point of attachment.  It can be a central point or a point of view.
