Has any one accidental dry fired spring gun with vortex pg2 drop in kit,in it.I did and ruined the kit

if you did it 1 time it probably didn't hurt it but I wouldn't do it again! it may cause it to shoot funny for a short time but it'll probably be ok

Define ruined...... What changed?

The cocking shoe rubs on the the outer plastic sleeve.You can see ware the spring expanded the plastic sleeve,and I would like to take it apart to maybe make it right if possible.

I just recently bought a pg2 kit and I think tge spring is epoxied to the inner guide, I wasn't able to take it apart, unlike the older pg2 kit that I bought.

Just an FYI .. The 30s/R7 do not have a cocking shoe.. Here's a link to help ya get more acquainted with that great Airgun..

As for what possibly happened...
I would take that unit apart and check the inside of the slot in the piston. It may well have slammed into the cocking lever and put a good dent in the tail end of the slot and that would certainly cause drag on the plastic spring housing.
