Floppy barrel on NPSS?

My wife's NPSS is basically new. I was breaking it in last weekend and had just plopped it down on the shooting rest. I noticed the barrel had started to open and had to close it again. This happened every time I wasn't gentle when I put it down.

Is this a sign of a serious problem or is it something a novice can adjust?

the lock up on my day old Titan is sorta loose two fingers to open it next to breech block.  Is this adjustable???  Or will it have to go to Crosman??
