Daisy Model 25 rebuild

Anybody done a refurb on one of these old shooters? I have a 1960's vintage that belongs to my sister that I'm working on for her. I am not changing anything that will mess with the possible value of the gun but want to make it shoot a little better. I replaced the trigger spring, added some pellgun oil and it is working. But, it doesn't have enough power to even punch through a garbage bag filled with shredded paper. Won't even penetrate the bag at 3'.
I got the original trigger spring from JG Airguns, who has a lot of parts for these older guns. I see he carries a replacement seal in leather and synthetic. I haven't opened it up THAT far yet but was curious if anyone out there has rebuilt one of these and possibly replaced the spring and seal? Not sure what the spring part number is and where to get it. I didn't see it listed on JG's site, not by part name.
Thanks for any help and advice.
Happy Shooting!!!!
Dave

Dave,
Rather than mess with trying to shim the spring to increase the tension of my 80 year old Model 25, I just oiled it. As you would expect, that brought the speeds up some.
Since that thread on the old GTA, I bought one of the new model 25's. I haven't chronied it yet, but it's definitely got more power than the old one.
Paul.
