Beeman GS 1000

Just bought an older Beeman GS 1000 22 cal break barrel spring piston from a friend. Gun shoots great but my eyes are getting bad and thinking of putting a scope on it. Read somewhere on the internet that a scope on a break barrel does not work well because the barrel never returns to the exact same spot when closed. Says that this is not of concern when shooting iron sights, but inaccurate with scope. Does anyone know if this is true? The gun was made in Spain.

 Ive been shooting air rifles since I was six. A decade later and I havent noticed a lost in accuracy as long as I changed the washer on the pivot and maintained my gun. You should be looking for something airgun rated and with an adjustable objective or side focus. I dont agree with that statement fully. You should be fine as long as you maintain the artillery hold and follow through.

Mark, as Jay stated, not true. If scope is air gun rated and mounted properly you'll be fine.
