My fix for my tx200 battering up my breech seals

Left to right. Nylon washer turned on lathe, .001 steel shim, mcmaster carr, ptfe oring My tx200 was eating breech seal every 100 shots. Sat up one night thinking how to fix it and this is what I came up with. The nylon washer i turned to fit snugly up in the breech but can be pulled out with a dental pick. The nylon washer retains the steel shims and allows you to add or remove some to get the spacing right. The ptfe oring are super tough a little tricky but not impossible to replace. 1500 shots and still sealing up now. SHot cycle seema to be softer im thinking the nylon washer is acting as a buffer. I bought 2 tx200 and both were duds needing work I kept this one and finaly got her fixed up so I can just shoot it and just about maintnance free. Well the way the picture loaded its top to bottom. then the second pics is what it looks like in the gun.

Good job right there !!
Yup, if the breech jumps forward during shot cycle, breech seal life is generally VERY short.

Read this twice?
Did I miss something on the fps? I understand all but that. The oring or shim on the breech nipple has been and old trick just done in with different materials composition on many fixed barrels.

My extreme spread was cut in half after getting the breech to lock up tight.

It was obvious my breech was moving giving me a different gap between sealing surfaces before.

Sorry for the misfortune on the first.
I am still shooting the BAMS.LOL. The TX200hc .22 is resting. No complaints with the BAMS. Got an LW .177 on the shelf for the extra receiver. The .177 and .20 are doing just fine. We all know I like that .20 caliber. Lol

Wish I could find a b40. I was looking forward to crosman bringing out the mav77 then they scrapped it.

Yes I heard they dropped project. Hard to fix something that is not broke. I've been watching them. Something went a miss on them. I am sure they would have sold but just wonder if they would stand up to the older Bams? Neither Bam or Crosman are an AA in quality.
I just got lucky with mine. The long hall will tell the story. Parts are becoming harder to find. Man needs a spare for parts and the price of a good BAM is just about the price they sold for new. Still cheaper than the Tx.
