well having a new Discovery for a little over a week, trigger was terrible, then i did the 3 screw mod and much better, i felt the 3 screw mod was good but touchy, if you backed of the bottom screw a bit it got hard, so after a week, i got thinking and took it apart again tonight, and made a new mod that i have never seen before, it works perfect no matter where the bottom screw is, it is now a soft trigger, i will explain the modification, since i am a machinist the mod was rather easy for me to do, i did not take any pics but explanation is simple, you will need a drill press with a small center drill and a few steps to drill in increments up to a .125 (1/8") drill bit, material is hard so ease up on the speed and use cutting oil, what you need to do is remove the lower part of the trigger, this is the part that has the post going up to the other part that releases the hammer, there are only 2 parts that have the 1/8" dia pins going thru them, so remove the bottom link and notice there is the hole where the pin goes thru, you need to drill a new hole forward towards to post that sticks up, relocate a new hole .250 over, so not to confuse anyone you are drilling a new 1/8" dia. hole over towards the post end 1/4" between centers, deburr well make sure the pin fit is free to turn in drilled pc. when assembling, put the pin in the hole on the trigger housing to the right, stock location the pin goes in the center hole on the trigger housing, you will notice there are 3 holes in the housing us the one towards the muzzle end, in all what this does is change the leverage so the trigger is much softer, now i want to say i am not sure about the earlier trigger housings, if they have 3 holes then you should not have any issues. enjoy the mod. if not satisfied, just resemble in the stock position.
thanks
Chet

The part you want is a trigger lever from a Crosman 262.... part # 262-003.... It is the same as the Disco lever but with three holes in it so you can choose the pin position.... I don't know if they are still available from Crosman or not.... You can achieve similar results by bending the hairpin shaped sear spring 5 degrees to reduce the tension on the sear.... Both methods reduce the second stage pull weight....
