Just Got My 350P from Fed Ex

Just got my package in from Air Gun Depot. They had a deal on the 350p with a Hawk 4-12x50 IR Scope and RWS mount. The guy at AGD was really good and actually guided me this way when I was originally going to spend more money on a similar set up. I also ordered a decent supply of pellets, all domed.

JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo .22 Cal , 15.89 gr

JSB Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy .22 Cal, 18.13 gr.

Beeman Kodiak Extra Heavy 21.14

I also had a combo pack of Benjamin Discovery 14.3 HP

The gun was really clean on inspection. I shot about 10 rounds just to get the feel for it with its iron sights.



I only had 14 yds in my basement but I was happy at the early results

Upon mounting the scope I saw that the front sight was obstructing my sight picture so off came the irons.

The Hawk scope was clear and crisp, With the etched glass reticle it really was sharp and easy on the eyes.

after about 20 shots of getting the feel for the hold on the rifle and its shot cycle I started my groups

The above is the JSP Jumbo and JB Heavy.  The wind started picking up as u can see by some of the groups but still excellent groups.

I didnt get to test the 21.14 Kodiaks because wind gusts started upwards of 10-15.

I think, at least initally anyway I will be working with the JSP Jumbo and Heavy. I havnt chrono'ed yet either because Im just looking for accuracy at this point and not wanting to chase the chrono.

Does anyone have feedback on the JSBs?

JSB feedback?? Stay with them Dave!!! All of my guns love them!!
The only other pellets I had any luck with were H&N Field Target Trophy.

Thats what I was thinking. I will probally pick up other tins in the future when I place orders of the JSB's just as additional tests.

I think the chrono will tell the tale on if I settle on the Jumbo or the Heavy's

I've put over 7,000 rounds through my 350 (beech) and chronographed a few.

 Silver Bear 12.65 gr @ 904
 RWS superdomes @ 860
 JSB 15.9 @ 820
 JSB 18s @ 760
 Kodiak 21 gr @ 710

 Mine didn't like the silver bears and they're ballistic "fluff" by 50 yards anyway. It did however like the superdomes and at 30 yards you didn't need a chrony  to notice the speed vs the heavier weights but they lost ground by the 50 yard mark.

 All three of my airguns love the JSB 16s and they retain velocity downrange very well for mid weight pellets competing nicely with the heavies in the longer ranges. Something to note on my D 350 (with JSBs) was that some of the shots over the chrony showed a few shots dropping 50 fps occasionally and I attributed it to a somewhat loose fit in the bore (compared to others) with relatively thin skirts and suspected that the pellet "fell" out of the bore and into the breach/seal area on occasion when shutting the action. I solved this by seating the pellet firmly with a pellet seat and shut the action with minimal force while keeping the rifle level and it hasn't happened since those changes.

 I remove my sight as well and without it there is a lot more leverage to cock it easily.

Im just waiting on some warm days to get out to the range again to do some more testing. This time with the chrono. But in truth, with accuracy being the main game, Im not too concerned bout velocity. A brain shot doesnt know the difference of 30 fps.
