New Beeman R9 first shots .177

What a beautiful gun this is. Very tight feeling. Cocking the first few times was a bit rough feeling but quickly smoothed right out. Shooting the gun with the rekord trigger is a delight. The first stage is very light and stops very briskly. The trigger breaks crisply as well. Fedex arrived late enough that I haven't been able to try it outside at distance but I have 30ft indoors that I was able to use. I have only tried one pellet and that is H&N field targets. I haven't tried another yet because so far the groups are amazing. See for yourself with this five shot group. That is a .177 pellet for reference.



I have less than 50 pellets through it so I hope it just gets better from here. I love this gun so far.

Yeah open sights...lol...not! My old eyes couldn't do that with open sights, even if the Beeman had them which it doesn't. I had some sunshine this morning so I went outside to do some shooting. Went through a couple targets to get the scope zeroed at 25 yards which is where I want it for field target. I was shooting off a rest and fortunately, this gun doesn't seem to mind being shot off a bag because here is the best group of five at 25 yards I did:



I got this gun for hunter field target, so I picked up a Gamo field target and set it out to 35 yards and my first five shots on this target sitting on my ft stool and using my stoney point bipod that I use for ft made me very happy:



I am beyond thrilled with this rifle. My wife would say I'm well chuffed. Here are a couple pics of the rifle:

Very nice gun and great groups .. I'd stick with the FTT's Germans seem to like Germans ... Keep up the good work she is only going to get better with age and practice ....

The R9/HW95 are my favorite springers! While a bit rough cocking and twangy when new, they're still very accurate, easy for the owner to work on if endowed with a bit of mechanical savvy,  they can be made to shoot very shoothly, plus there are a lot of after market goodies available if desired.

5 shot group on a Gamo target paddle shot from 50 yards in light variable breeze (notice the approx 1/2" high x 1" wide group)........
 

Here is another 5 shot group on a paper target shot right after the "group on the paddle" during the same shooting session (notice the same elongated grouping).....


A pretty nice 30 yard grouping in a 1/2" diameter kill zone..........

Thanks for the replies. nced, are you the Ed I met at the tar heel meet a couple weeks ago? That is some fine shooting. It was your results that day that convinced me the r9 was certainly capable of the kind of accuracy I was looking for. Now I just have to develop my shooting skills if I hope to compete with you.

R9 without iron sights but included are scope rings and attached muzzle break (cocking handle). The HW95 is the same gun with iron sights and different "furniture"
HW97 without iron sights but includes "muzzle weight". The HW77 is the same gun with iron sights and different furniture.
R1 without iron sights but included is an attached muzzle break (cocking handle). The HW80 is the same gun with iron sights and different "furniture"
R7 without iron sights but included are scope rings and attached muzzle break (cocking handle). The HW30 is the same gun with iron sights and different "furniture"
