I've read several posts on several forums about crosman rifles getting a bent barrel for one reason or another but mine appears to have been made that way and I'm wondering if I'm insane... How I notice the barrel being bent was during breaking in the rifle the rifle was dieseling as they do when their new or freshly oiled. I wasn't worrying about accuracy I was just putting pellets through it because everyone said you needed to shoot them a 100 or 200 times to "break/season" them in. When do so and noticing the smoke I looked down the barrel and it appear to look bent. I ran an aluminum cleaning rod that was straight down it and sure enough right as the barrel meets the break over breech area it is bent. What makes me believe this was intentional is 1, I haven't done any of the things I've heard ppl say results in a bent barrel and 2, the block that the barrel screws into at the breech where is cocks is canted down slightly. I verified this with a straight edge and it is about a degree or so leaning downward like it can't come all the way closed even though the action locks up fine and amazingly enough the gun shoots straight!!! After all this long story ur thinking why are u b**ching. I'm not I'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else. Its almost like they saw the piece aiming down and went "dang" we'll have to throw it away if we can't fix it. figuring no on would complain as long as it shoot straight. U can look down the power plant and the shrouded area is directly in line with it but that block/breech piece is definitely canted downward... Just wanted to know if this happened to anyone else. Kind of makes me nervous to buy another one of their products if this is how they repair them in the factory... Sorry for the book I was trying to answer any questions someone might have... Thanks for your time. Richard

It is barrel droop and yes in most cases is pretty international so if you can live with it that's fine I fixed mine by sanding the top of the breach slightly but when i did that and adjusted my scope for height it was maxed out at that point that scope isn't very good to begin with
