Air gun scope or standard rifle scope for Marauder

I'm planning to purchase a Benjamin Marauder and have been wondering about the scope I should get. As it is s PCP rifle I wonder if I can use a standard rifle scope - or do I need one that is specific to air rifles. I know the answer for springers, but not PCPs. I have a nice Mueller 8.5-25x44 and would love to put it on a Marauder. (Or should I look at a different rifle?)

You can use pretty much any scope you want on all PCPs. The one big factor is that the scope should have an adjustable objective lens. Many scopes have a minimum fixed objective lens set somewhere in the range of 50 - 100 yards and where you will be most likely shooting from distances of 20 to 50+ yards not having an adjustable objective lens will be a big issue.

Myself I like the Side Focus as with them you do not need to reach all the way to the front of the scope to adjust the focus and with the side focus you can easily do it while you have the gun to your shoulder.

I see that the Mueller will focus down to 15 yards. This might be the scope for me.

I like scopes that focus down to 10 yards.

15 yards is closer than you think. I even ordered a Bug Buster just so that at least one of my pcps will focus closer than 10 yards.

Those Muellers are great for the money. Did you put yours on the Marauder?
