I did a lot of research with emphasis on light weight, and optimum horsepower for a given pellet weight. The .25 was tempting, but in my somewhat remote region, .25 cal pellets are all but non-existent. I sea-sawed for days between the 7 lb. Stoeger X20 suppressed and the 6.4 lb Striker. The Striker got the nod because it was a bit lighter and half the price, leaving me with a few extra bucks to sweeten it up. Sadly, nearly every place I shopped was out-of-stock, but I did manage to score one in Florida (i'm in Idaho). Odd too, they list the 1000s at the same 6.4 lbs as the wooden 1000x. I preferred the wood, but suspect the 1000s will be a bit lighter.

Makes sense - a chunk of plastic is usually lighter than an equally sized chunk of hardwood. Why they don't accurately differentiate, is beyond me? I just now checked pyramydair this morning, and see they now have the 1000s in-stock... and has it listed at 6.95 lbs - a weight gain of 1/2 pound. Oh well.
