Thanks, Joe.  Appreciate the info concerning Photobucket.

I have the Photobucket mobile downloading at this time and I am downloading the regular Photobucket to my laptop also.  I will get it figured out and post a photo soon, I hope. 

I have noticed a number of posts stating that their HW97K really kicks hard and is hard to cock.  Maybe I lucked out because mine doesn't kick hard and cocks about as hard as a Benjamin 397P.

Some of those posting said they torqued the screws on the scope and base.  If this is necessary, guess I will need to purchase a small torque wrench because I just tightened mine reasonably tight.  The torque wrench I have is a large heavy duty one.

Doubt that will be a problem Bill. Tighten it up and keep an eye on it. 97 isn't known for a hard kick at all.

An HW 97 doesn´t kick nor recoil hard at all. Those who claim so are either wimps or there´s something badly wrong with their rifles. If you have a problem with a moving scope you can either go to a store that sells musical instruments and buy a piece of that resin (i don´t know the correct English word for it) they use for, i.ex violin and cello strings and rub it to the mounts where they grab the dovetail and smear some inside the rings where they clamp the scope. You can also use a smidge of low strength Loctite at the dovetail clamping area - do not use that between the scope/rings junction though ..
Or you can get a set of proper good quality rings,tighten them correctly and be done with it

It's all relative. If someone buys a 97 after owning a PCP or maybe shooting an R7 they'll notice more recoil.  But it's nothing like a magnum springer--partly because of the weight of the rifle and also because it's not a magnum.

I have a de-tuned HW95/R9 that shoots a very smooth 12 to 12.5 FPE and although it's smooth the recoil is much more noticeable than the 97.  Neither are a problem though.

Most airgun scope rings have an arrester pin--just use that.  It worked fine for me and as longs as the rings are snug I haven't had the scope move in the rings.   I'm currently using a BKL one-piece mount without the stop pin but it had 6 mounting screws and it hasn't moved either. 

Bottom line is the HW97K is a very pleasant rifle to shoot and they tend to be very accurate.  Have fun!

+1 on the BKL mounts. I am using two piece BKL mounts on my HW97K and the scope hasn't moved yet either.

After many tries, finally was able to post a photo of my new HW97K.  I posted it in the photos section at the beginning of Forum.  Hope that is ok.  I will post a picture with the scope attached if I can remember what I finally did to get the other one posted.  Should photos be posted as I did the other one or posted in this section?  I don't want to be posting in the wrong area.  Thanks for all the info on the different ways to go about getting a photo to post.  Now if I can just do it again.
