What of this three are most important for airgun accuracy?

Which do you think of these three itens are the most important for airgun accuracy?

- Pellet weight;

- Pellet head size;

- Pellet skirt size.

Of course an uniform combination of the three has utmost importance for airgun accuracy, but imagine you can just choose of to me uniform which would you choose?

On a straight percentage basis, weight is the least important, head size the most important.... a 1% change in weight on a 15 gr. pellet is only 0.15 gr which is pretty commonplace.... but a 1% change in head size on a 5.5 mm pellet is 0.055mm, which is huge....

Within the "normal" limits of variation, head size is probably the most important, followed by weight.... The skirt expands to fit the bore anyway....

Mix the order any which way you wish ?  Takes all these to truly have an accurate AG along with many more, these just IMO the top 3

My answers would be quite different if I got to pick three, not rate the three the OP listed....

1. A consistent FPE level to drive the pellet, as varying velocity cannot be overcome except at close range....
2. A good barrel, and finding a pellet that works with it, as if the pellet doesn't fly straight that likewise cannot be overcome....
3. Holding and firing the gun in a consistent manner (including ergonomics and trigger), as even he most accurate gun in the world can't hit a target unless you do your part....

Unfortunately, in the real world, item 3 usually turns out to be the limiting factor, but that's not really the gun's fault....

#3 is what I believe is my problem. When I got started again last Nov. my only experience was with a multi-pump. My first purchase was with a MM QB79 on HPA. Next was a Steroid-392 from Mac1. Both of which I have had little problem becoming adequate. Next purchase was a Diana 34 from AGD. The 34 is giving me the most trouble. Even after getting proper ammo (FTT 5.53's) I am not consistent. Better than any other ammo I have tried though. Grouping 2-3 of 5 on center of ring and then all over the place the next 5. Then another good 5. All things considered If I had to start over I would get an inexpensive and highly recommended springer and become adequate with that before moving on.

Not that I would have bought any different just purchase in a different order. Especially the 392 being raised on multi-pump I guess I came "home" so to speak.

as there are many facets to accracy, all the variables mentioned apply , including the human factor   , so we must strive to get the most out of all of them
