New Trail NP making my arm hurt

But is it good pain.
I love that old school kick! Bam! Great stuff. I might get a new trigger, but that is also part of its charm. I've been able to shoot very straight with its stock trigger.

I tried to break mine in the first day I got it. Shot 130 rounds through it and tweaked my arm. Couldn't cock anything for several months.

Yep, gonna slow down now. I have the basics covered, so I am going to let these guns teach me.
I got the all weather; I like that look. I was at Academy Sport & Outdoors and just saw it and said, "What the hey!"
I am glad I did, but I need to pace myself now. Gonna concentrate on ammo, technique, data gathering (PakP is my mentor) and just getting it together. It is a very zen sort of thing to quiet yourself alone with your trusty arms and find that inner center along with the bulls-eye.

Cocking the Trail can wear on your arm some. The first 40 - 50 times I cocked mine it was quite an effort, then it eased up some. I had read that it would, and was glad when it finally did. After reading that the all weather Trail was almost a pound and a half heavier, I bought the hardwood stocked model, and it's plenty heavy for me.

Thanks Dave. That is good to know.
It is also a new motion for me. I think there is always some "learning" for your body to go through to get the motion efficient (as well as just building up specific muscles). My 1377C was a pain (literally) at first, now it is much easier.

I started shooting and cocking my Hatsan 125 th today. I'm 5 ft 6in, 110 lbs, and I literally have to put the gun standing up on the recoil buttpad, grab the barrel, and push down using my whole body. When I finish cocking it, I'm in like a lunged position.

I end up doing a two arm cock with the trail and the hatsan. I pull it down with my right hand and then finish/switch to my left and put the pellet in with my right hand. The intent is to never release control of the barrel, but it ends up being a helping hand with these two.

If I tried to shoot an entire tin (even a small one) in a day, I would never want to look at a break barrel gun again.
I started cocking with my right hand/arm, but had to add my left in to finish cocking it. After the nitro piston broke in, I can cock it with one arm now. Definitely good to help build up your arm muscles.

Sadly the uk legal is 12ft/lb and my benji is no where neer that so cocking effort isnt so much of a chore then again they are work horses to us so suppose doin 500 miles in a week to go shooting over two visits yi kinda get used to it .

It is such a sweet gun, totally worth it! Just need to use some moderation, I suppose. Nothing wrong with that. Part of the fun is "thinking" about your last shot and your next.
Hey, this looks great ...
I bought one but it hasn't arrived yet. Looks great! I plan on filling mine with buckshot.
