Yep, thanx, know about the stamp on the Dianas; this is a HW45 Weihrauch spring pistol, also imported as a Beeman P1. This one is new to me, and the seller did not know the age, though he bought it from the original owner. Just curious, tk

Yes, thanks, that verifies info from the yellow. My new to me '45 is 395xxx making it mid 2006. HW's are to classy to have a trampstamp like Diana, lol, tk

I prefer the tramp stamp
Diana's were always a little more daring!

Ah ha , amaising what a search shows up .
This info tells me that my HW 45 , s/n 387915 is only 436 less in the series than a 2000 model with s/n 388351 .
So , maybe it's about a late 1999 ?
That'll do me .

I have a P1 version of the HW45 and discovered this week that there are two variations of the breech seal and you need the serial number to identify which to get.
Unfortunately I don't know of a way to correlate P1 and HW45 serial numbers. I believe that Weihrauch reserved a block of numbers for the P1 so they're tracked separately.
I ordered a P1 seal from Pyramyd after trying a few different sized #009 o-rings from the hardware store. My current seal is a little nicked up but it still performed better than the replacements I tried. The one from PA should be here next week.
Great pistols!

I have to get me one of the P1's or HW45's! They are just good looking guns!

I waited years and years before I found the mintest looking , and right priced pistol, at the same time as I had the right amount of 'surplus ' cash .
The wait is worth it . These are a thing of beauty alright .

I read that 300,000 to 350,000 were reserved for the Beeman P1. My 1987 P1 has a serial of 308986.
