Update on my squirrels in the attic

In my introduction post, I mentioned that squirrels had ripped open a attic vent and were living in my attic. I've been doing patrols, and have been getting  shots when the nutters are feeding in the trees. The squirrels are starting to take off when they see me, but yesterday I got my shot and knocked the squirrel out of the tree into the bushes under the trees.

Of course, I go looking for the squirrel (to post a picture)  , but I can't find the squirrel in the bushes. I was thinking maybe I missed, or the squirrel ran off and died across the street (I'm shooting up into trees from my backyard, and the squirrels are falling on the other side of the fence. I've been scouring the bushes, so I can determine where I hit the squirrel, but unable to locate the squirrel.

I was talking to my neighbor today and he said he saw one of the neighborhood cats trotting down the street with a squirrel in his mouth. I wondering why the cats have been hanging around...

On another note, the other night,  I saw 2 large raccoons climbing out of the storm drains--better get my .25 cal ready.

Nice work on the yard patrol. The coons in my yard lately have been smarter now that ive reduced their numbers a bit.  Be careful around them, they can be very aggressive when confronted.

To bad the cat got your nutter but then again at least it didn't go to waste and it won't be rummaging around your attic any longer 

I have so many nutters in my yard that they're getting out of hand.  I saw one poking around my boat the other day, boat is shrink wrapped for the winter, so I guess it's time to go to war. 

Keep a good watch on the attic nutters.... there's probably more than you think up there.

my nephew and i just waged war on nutters after seeing 5 go into the attic the other day
he call ed a couple days later and said we need to wage war i saw about 10 go in today.
