Just got some CO2 cartridges and started shooting my old (new to me) 1200. Wow - this puppy makes other BB pistols I have look sad. I think it had been shot only rarely in past 30 years. Seal is tight and gun looks barely used. Indoors, 300+ fps means a good backstop is essential to stop ricochets but accuracy far exceeds my septugenarian holding capabilities. I'm like the firefly that backed into the fan - totally delighted.

Is that the semi-auto pistol?  I have the Sears, Roebuck version. It's in good shape but the trigger sear has been worn off. It's in my projects drawer waiting for me to machine or cast a new trigger.  I had one in a previous younger life. They are a blast to shoot.

Negative - this is the one from the 80s that sort of looks like a Luger or the old Ruger 22 semi auto with a rib. CO2 cartridge in handle and feeds bbs from a magazine loaded from the back of the action. Its loaded and cocked by holding it muzzle down and pressing forward on a lever located under the barrel. Its incredibly accurate for a bb shooter.

Yes indeed, a newly sealed Powerline 1200 shoots pretty hard (440-460 fps), and are pretty accurate for a BB gun. I have four I am selling; two earlier models with the metal frame and two with the all plastic frame. The older ones have fully-adjustable rear sights.

I bought one a couple of years ago at a gun show. I only fired a few rounds through it but was impressed. I may need to pull it out soon.

Yes, i had one as a kid, dad bought it for me at the local hardware store as a birthday gift, it was a blast, so of course when i got older i wanted another one so i was able to get an old vintage one like the one i had as a kid very recently with original box for 40 bucks(1978), all i did was reseal it.
I didnt remember how powerful it was so when i started test firing it on my Chrony i just used a light pellet/BB stop Hard Foam with thin metal backplate and the "dang" thing shot right thru it and into my backboard

  I found a Daisy 1200 at an estate sale last year for $12.  It was like new and in the original box.  It is a fun plinker with the power to punch through a tin can.  They do feel like a Ruger .22 in the way they point and fit the hand.  Mine is the metal frame with adjustable sight and seems to shoot all day on a co2 cart.  If you find one at a good price, don't pass it up.
